Why I Wanted To Start Blogging Again

Well, here it is. My return to blogging after what has almost been an entire year without writing anything in a blog style format. Sure, there are some press releases, a few tutorials, and maybe a news article or two still mixed in recent memory, but overall, it has been almost a year since I put my fingers on a keyboard and started typing an actually blog post.

So, why write this post. Why did I decide to write a post on why I want to blog again? Well, because I can, and that is one the primary reasons I wanted to get back into this whole blogging thing. It gives me a platform to talk about whatever I want, whenever I want, and I can do it in as little or as much detail as I want. If I want to talk about my journey into getting rid of all my “stuff” so that I can get to a point where the only things that I have are things that add meaning to my life, I can. If I want to talk about how you can setup an operating agreement for your online business, I can. If I want to talk about my life goals, my personal health, or anything else, I can here on this blog, and that is the main reason that I wanted to start blogging again. I gives me a platform to share my experiences and talk about whatever I so desire.

That being said, that is most defiantly not the only reasons I wanted to pick back up the keyboard and start typing again. Blogging, to me, is also a relaxing experience. It provides some stress relief, some time off from the same old same old that we sometimes get trapped in even as entrepreneurs. It allows me to come express myself with almost no limitations, and I love that. It gives me a place to be free, opinionated, and factual all at the same time, and that is truly amazing.

Blogging also allows me to explaining things that I would not be able to explain easily or effectively in a video. For example, in a video, you are limited. You can’t fully express your thoughts or opinions in fear that the video will be too long, that people will stop watching, or that you’ll forget something entirely and have to redo the video or post it without that great point in it. With blogging, it is a moving format. If I forget a point in a post, I can just simply hit the “edit” button and add it in. If I write a long article, it’s not big deal; people will still read it. If they don’t, I don’t know because those are hard statistics to measure extremely accurately. Thus, it’s not something that I have to worry about.

All in all, blogging gives me a platform where I can be me with no restrictions, no pressure, and complete freedom to express my thoughts, experiences, and opinions to the world. Something that I’ve always been known to do, but not in the detail that I wish to do it. Luckily for me, blogging gives me all of those things, and I hope you join me and Patrick as we venture back into blogging. I know we will love it, and I hope you will too. We both look forward to see you around the blog.

Feel free to comment letting me know why you want, or wanted, to start blogging. I look forward to seeing what you have to say!
